Also please keep in mind no ground fires are allowed (due to local ordinance, not the campgrounds doing). No activities or anything to do, literally just sites and bathrooms. And then last thing to realize, this is situated right on a swamp/bog, so if you're here in the summer time, it's going to be a hot, sticky, humid bug-ridden mess.

We stayed here in late September, the park was literally at 25% capacity. Quiet hours started at maybe 10PM. Literally at 10:01PM, the night security approached our site and said we were talking too loudly and laughing. (I will say he was very friendly and polite). 10PM on a Saturday night. The guard stand is at least a 5 minute walk, that means someone pre-emptively complained for him to approach us.

The sites themselves secluded, visibly separated, and nice. Half the showers were out of order on our visit. And they had the brilliant idea to clean the showers from 7a to 9a, you know, like the exact time when most people actually want to use the bathrooms. Oh right, and the few showers that did actually work required quarters, how convenient. No paper towels in any of the bathrooms, no blow-dryers for your hands. I suppose Coastal Acres folks just wipe their hands on their pants and shirt.

They clean the bathrooms at the worst times, and the one man just walked into the women's bathroom while there were women in there, some who were showering...

We recently stayed at the Coastal Acres campground and we were pleasantly surprised. We were there during family week and it was evident at the campsite - kids from varying ages having a great time and well behaved. The sites offer a variety of lot sizes and arrangements and the staff, both at reception and the grounds keepers were all very pleasant and accommodating. Easy access to downtown P'town and beach areas. Standard campground policies are in place re: noise, pets, etc. and is a sign of things being well run - much appreciated and respected. They are going through updating and expansion and we are looking forward to a return visit.

The ground was damp, there was a ton of mosquitos. The electricity didn't work at the site I paid for, so I had to rent an extension cord long enough to reach the neighbors hookup.

Strict 1-car per site rules, and if you have an extra car, you have to pay extra (even if you can fit two cars on your site). Also, each tent site is restricted to 2 adults and 2 children only. So, if you've got three kids, I guess you're out of luck. Also, they don't do 1-night reservations in advance, I was instructed to "call the day of and if you're lucky you'll get one". When I originally called, the woman put me on hold for 35 minutes, then just hung up the phone. I called back and left a voicemail, which took 3 days to get returned.

Nice little quiet campground within 1 mile walking distance to main city central. Very nice sites. Bathrooms on both sides of their office/store so one is always open when they are being cleaned. Sell ice at $3 for 10 lb bag. Free wifi near front office area only. They also do propane and have dump station. No campfires but grilling on a grill ok. Only 20 amp electric service. Other campground second closest only has same for electric. Their bathrooms were clean and showers are 25 cents for 5 minutes of nice hot water. Staff very friendly and know all the best places.

this campground is not family oriented. SMALL sites. not enough room to hardly park our vehicle VERY WET and DAMP! MOSQUITO HEAVEN!!!! bring A LOT of bug spay!!! we were booked for 7 nights only stayed 3 took a lose on the rest of the days but worth it too leave! other than that good for young couples that want to hang out in town .

The staff at the front desk are polite and helpful.

This is essentially the only campground around, so you've got no choice. If another campground existed nearby, this place would either shut down or make some serious changes.

The two check-in staffers I interacted with demonstrated this odd, don't care at all attitude. Like something you'd expect from a teenager, except they were both in their 40's. They didn't even pretend to care about my stay, like a "take it or leave it" attitude, and that's exactly what this park is. Overpriced, no frills, unfriendly, strict camping.

The location is well placed

There are no dumpsters for your trash, you have to carry out all your trash.
