First time to PTown, and I was so happy to find The Underground! Even though this bar is on Commercial St, it felt like a secret local place-wasn't too overcrowded which was very nice. The DJ was really great, and everyone was dancing and having a great time. The drinks are very fairly priced and have fun names. While our overall experience was reason enough to go back, I can't speak highly enough about the staff of The Underground. My friend had a little too much fun and the bartenders made sure she had plenty of water and that we were able to catch a cab. Very genuine, caring staff.
I went here a couple times for pool and dancing. The DJs are great and keep the beats going. There is a pole where people can try pole dancing, which leads to hilarious situations. Both times I went, my friends and I experienced some pretty intense sexism. Even in a mostly gay town, there are still predatory and oblivious man. Best bar in Ptown. Bartenders were awesome here. Drinks, excellent. I'll be back.
The bartenders are the best in ptown. The music is fantastic. Great atmosphere. Always end the night at the underground, you will have a blast.
Had a great time! Our bartender was wonderful. We left a previous bar after one drink to find a friendlier bartender and we did at the Underground.
